Under the general direction of the Secretary-Treasurer, the Director of Facilities and Transportation (“Director”) leads a management team of seven and 200 staff, and is responsible for the administration of district facilities including planning, capital construction, property acquisition and disposal, maintenance, custodial and transportation services, and safety, risk and energy management. The Director sets operational goals, strategies, and priorities, and oversees operations, service delivery, and stakeholder relationships. The Director works closely with the Organizational Health and Safety team to maintain an effective safety management system and culture. The Director should work closely with stakeholders inside and outside of the organization, creating a responsive, service-based department.
