Alberta Municipal Health and Safety Association – Executive Director

The Executive Director reports directly to a Board of Directors made up of 14 members representing municipalities across Alberta and related associations. As the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the Association the Executive Director is responsible for the successful leadership and management of AMHSA according to the strategic direction set forth by the Board of Directors. The position involves the coordination of the overall activities and business affairs of the Association, and the Executive Director ensures that the provisions of bylaws, policies and procedures of the Association are maintained and enforced. The Executive Director also ensures the Association’s business plan is adhered to and approved budget is managed in accordance with the Board’s directives.

The Executive Director manages an overall budget of $2.5M and provides leadership to 10 staff across two offices (Calgary and Sherwood Park).
