Reporting to the Executive Director, Human Resources, the position leads a team of professionals conducting investigations and providing labour relations advice in an environment where labour and employment law, regulations and policy are continually evolving. This position leads complex investigations promoting effective employer and employee relations.
The Director, Employee Relations and Investigations is a key position in a well-established and respected organization. This position is a crucial role within the Human Resources Division, responsible for the programs and services for employee relations and investigations. The Director develops, coaches, mentors and leads a team comprised of unionized and excluded management positions.
The Director is a reliable and trusted Senior HR Practitioner that provides strategic council and senior advice on all matters relating to Employee Relations and Investigations. The Director is a solutions specialist with demonstrated talent in the areas of communication, analytical and critical thinking, and the ability to apply good judgement to complex situations to achieve effective and efficient result. This role achieves results for the organization and protects organizational interests and identifies legal vulnerabilities. The Director leads a consistent practice to ensure that Employee Relations objectives are applied in a consistent manner across the organization.
