The Director, Health & Safety Services is responsible for the management of a variety of programs and services offered by the BCCSA. Under the direction of the Senior Director, the Director, Health & Safety Services will oversee the day-to-day activities of BCCSA’s programs and services which include but are not limited to: Safety Training, National Construction Safety Officer designation, Injury Management and Safety Advisor Services, and Fire & Flood Rescue Program.

The Director, Health & Safety Services is responsible for the financial control of their department’s budget and assists in the development of the operational priorities within the guidelines of the strategic goals set by the
Board of Directors. As a resource, the Director, Health & Safety Services will have the direction of the Senior Director and Executive Director to call upon when required. They are responsible to maintain all services within
the application standards, guidelines and regulations, and will be called upon to use judgment when making decisions regarding the delivery of BCCSA’s services. The Director will also be responsible for the data integrity
of services with which they have direct involvement.
