Reporting to the Dean, Instruction, the Associate Dean, Business, Access, and Fine Arts (“Associate Dean”) is accountable for supporting all aspects of the portfolio which include Business Administration, including Public Administration; Developmental Education (Access Programs), including College and Career Preparation, Link to Employment and Academics, Community Literacy, and English for Academic Purposes; and the Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art. These programs are located across CTMN’s campuses situated throughout the Northwest region, including Haida Gwaii, Prince Rupert, Terrace, Hazelton, and Smithers.
The Associate Dean ensures the College provides quality, fiscally sound, educational programming and services which are responsive to its communities. They are responsible for effective communication between students, staff, faculty, administration and external stakeholders, with an overarching mission to foster a culture that enables CMTN to become the college of choice for experiential place-based learning.
