Planning and Institutional Research (“PIR”) at CNC is part of the part of the Policy, Planning, and Strategy team, and is responsible for developing and executing methodologically sound research and data analysis that senior leadership, the Board of Governors, and the provincial government rely on to assess performance and make key decisions. Under the direction of the Director, Policy, Planning and Strategy (“Director”), the Manager, Planning & Institutional Research (“Manager”) oversees the work of the PIR Team, comprised of a Senior Research Analyst (Team Lead) and three Research Analysts. The Manager provides guidance and strategic direction to the PIR Team on: enrolment performance indicators and reporting; conducting operational, educational, demographic, and labour-market research and reporting; supporting budget and resource allocation processes; designing, developing, managing, and analyzing student surveys used to inform academic programming and student services; supporting program and accreditation reviews and; and undertaking institutional research projects. The Manager ensures the timely dissemination of accurate data, information, and analysis for internal decision making and external agencies.
