The Vice President, Student Affairs (“VP SA”) is responsible for the overall functioning and performance of all aspects of student affairs on all campuses. This position provides day-to-day leadership and direction with respect to policies, practices, systems and operations in Student Services, the Office of the Registrar, Aboriginal Resource Centres, College Resource Centres (Libraries), and other areas as assigned by the President. The VP SA, as a member of the College Executive Committee, has student success as a primary objective, and is focused on the provision of a high level of student support. The VP SA is responsible for implementation of Strategic Enrollment Management including promotion, recruitment, retention, support, and convocation. The VP SA oversees scheduling and work assignments, is responsible for ensuring quality standards, completing evaluations, overseeing the resolution of complaints, grievances and appeals, and performing other duties as required. The VP SA contributes to the College’s success by providing input into the development of the portfolio’s and College’s strategic and operational plans, and by ensuring that the College achieves its student recruitment, engagement, and retention goals.
