Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director, provides leadership and motivation to the Society’s teams by building relationships based on trust and integrity, and ensuring collaboration and teamwork is fostered throughout the organization. The Executive Director works within policies established by the Board and is responsible for managing the day-today operations of the Society, in alignment with its mission, vision and values to develop long-term stability for the Society.

The Executive Director is responsible for carrying out the work of Community Options. The core responsibilities of the Executive Director are to oversee the ongoing operations of the Society and strive to fulfil the vision of the Board of Directors to maintain and further our Mission through the goals set in the strategic plan.

The Executive Director holds a key leadership position in the Society and, as such, assumes complete responsibility for carrying out Board assigned policies and day-to-day operations of the Society. The Executive Director will act as a consultant to the Board and its Committees, utilize their authority to direct the implementation of the Society’s programs and services, and maintain responsibility for the management of finances and all staff and volunteers.

The Executive Director ensures fund development activities are robust and comprehensive and leverages the Society’s ability to increase revenues through donations, sponsorships and other forms of revenue generation, to meet the growing needs in the community.
