GEF Seniors Housing – Director of Marketing and Community Engagement

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director of Marketing and Community Engagement is responsible for the marketing of GEF Communities; communications internally and externally with key stakeholders, residents/tenants and their families; media and public relations activities.

The Director of Marketing and Community Engagement will manage and monitor the marketing and communications program budget and provide leadership, mentoring and support to the Marketing and Communications team. This includes providing communications, writing, editing and design support and coaching to all GEF staff and GEF Communities.

The Director will also be responsible for monitoring relevant issues, provincially, nationally and internationally, and advising leadership and the Board of Directors of issues and recommend potential responses and strategies. The position is jointly responsible with Senior Management for increasing applications and reducing vacancy rates in GEF Communities, advancing the organization’s position in Edmonton, increasing awareness of GEF and its initiatives, and developing strategies for continued success while being in compliance with GEF policies, procedures, legislation and provincial standards.
