The Director, People & Culture (P&C) is accountable to take the lead on culture practices and provide expertise and support in the areas of Performance Management, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Policy and Procedure Development, and HR Compliance. By providing strategic guidance, leadership and mentoring to the People & Culture team through advising, coaching and mentorship, the Director will steward the implementation of Goodwill’s Team Experience, Learning & Development, and DEI Roadmaps as well as Goodwill’s safety and wellness programs.
Reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and as a member of the Senior Leadership team, the Director, People & Culture will effectively, lead and manage an effective human resources function to support management of the team member lifecycle; and contribute to broader organizational and strategic management. The position also has a key role as ambassador for organizational culture and values, ensuring they are visible, embedded and upheld. In conjunction with the President & CEO, the Director will also support the development of the Corporate Planning Cycle and its components (e.g., Strategic Plan, Sustainability Action Plan, Departmental Operating Plans, Corporate Performance Measures, Forecasting and Staffing Plans) ensuring integration, alignment and timely implementation of all components throughout the organization.
