Keyano College – Director Facilities and Property Management

Reporting to the VP Infrastructure & Information Technology, the Director Facilities and Property Management is responsible for the development of strategy and delivery of results related to the property and equipment of Keyano College. This position will oversee six direct reports and ~15 indirect reports which includes the capital planning, facilities, and property management teams. It also involves overseeing the processes, systems and resources required to manage the life cycle of all property and equipment including acquisition control, accountability, responsibility, maintenance, utilization and disposition The Director will be responsible for an operating budget of $6 million and an infrastructure maintenance budget in excess of $1 million. Also the person will be indirectly responsible for a capital budget of $5 million per year and a capital projects budgets as assigned. Planned capital project budgets over the next 8 years are in excess of $200 million.

This position acts as leader, model, and coach to employees and supervisors and is a critical member of the senior leadership team of Keyano College. This position acts as a liaison with all other departments, service providers, and key contacts in the community of Fort McMurray as well as egulates compliance with law, government regulations, company policies, and best practices. Major areas of focus the safe and sustainable maintenance of buildings and grounds and the successful planning and completion of capital projects.
