Local Authorities Pension Plan – Manager of Finance and Risk

Reporting to the Vice-President of Finance and Risk, the Manager of Finance and Risk:

  • Implements financial accounting, reporting and controls of the Local Authorities Pension Plan (LAPP) and LAPP Corporation (Corporation), and
  • Further, develop and matures LAPP’s and the Corporation’s enterprise-wide risk management program.

LAPP Corporation is led by an executive team made up of experts skilled in all facets of running a large multi-sector pension plan, including risk management, investments, funding management, pension law, pension policy, stakeholder relations and communications.

Primary areas of responsibility for the Manager include working under the guidance of the VP of Finance and Risk in building out the “finance and risk” function; completing the processes for financial forecasting and budgeting; completing the preparation of external and internal financial reporting, and completing the audit of LAPP and the Corporation, while continuing the implementation of LAPP’s and the Corporations enterprise-wide risk management processes.
