Native Child and Family Services of Toronto (NCFST) is a multi-service urban Indigenous agency providing holistic, culture-based programs and services for Indigenous children and families.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director, Child and Family Wellbeing is accountable for providing operational and strategic leadership on all aspects of child welfare in accordance with our dual mandate to both the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services and to Indigenous communities and governance bodies. They are responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with the Child, Youth and Family Services Act and Ministry Standards within the mandated jurisdiction and geographical area. They are also responsible for compliance with Aboriginal laws created under Bill C-92. Furthermore, as the only Indigenous Child and Family Wellbeing Agency in Ontario that operates exclusively in an urban setting, the Director is responsible for ensuring that the voices of community members and organizations in the Greater Toronto Area are reflected in the ongoing development, delivery, and continuous improvement of the services within their portfolio.
