The Organization:

The Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres (OFIFC) is a provincial Indigenous organization representing the collective interests of member Friendship Centres located in towns and cities across the province. The Friendship Centre network provides a means for community members and Indigenous people living in urban spaces to gather, connect with one another and participate in culturally based programs and services.

The Opportunity:

The Vice President of Finance (VP Finance) will provide overall financial leadership to the OFIFC to preserve organizational assets and reporting accurate financial results. They will develop and implement sound financial management strategies and practices that are aligned with OFIFC’s long-range strategic plan (LRSP) and ensure operational efficiency through effective implementation, maintenance and use of financial systems and software. The VP Finance will ensure compliance of accounting activities and internal audits with financial regulations and provide financial analytics to inform decision-making processes across the organization.
