The Manager, Facilities Services (“Manager”) is responsible for the planning, development, maintenance, and strategy for corporate assets related to facilities. The incumbent oversees the strategic delivery of asset planning, and develops and manages the implementation of District-wide programs including environmental and sustainability initiatives, input into capital projects, as well as fleet acquisition and maintenance.
Reporting to the GM, Engineering and Utilities, the Manager serves as a key resource to stakeholders across the District, ensuring the facilities plans and operating models fit the RDN’s long-term plans. The position provides support to other departments regarding renovations to facilities, develops building life-cycle plans, and long-term maintenance schedules. The Manager is an integral member of a team that is responsible for strategic planning, organizational development, and services provided by the Regional District. The Manager will ensure energy management and sustainability targets remain at the forefront for facilities, develops safety and risk management plans, and oversees leases and contracts.
