Saskatchewan Polytechnic – Associate Vice President, International

The AVP, International reports to the Vice President, Advancement & International. As a member of the senior leadership team, this position plays a key role in internationalization leadership and strategic planning across the institution including 35 million in institutional international revenue with expectations of sustained growth.

The AVP, International will lead a team of approximately 20 full and part-time staff including a director, manager, and executive assistant as direct reports.

Based at any of Sask Polytech’s campus locations, this position is one of 4 AVPs reporting to the Vice-President, Advancement & International.

The AVP, International will be responsible for oversight of all aspects of the Polytechnic’s international activities and for providing strategic leadership in relation to the advancement of Sask Polytech’s institutional priorities at all four Campuses. The AVP, International will develop and foster international educational and research partnerships, both current and future, integrating research and teaching.

The AVP, International will facilitate the achievement of international goals and establish an international presence by creating a strong professional rapport with stakeholders across the organization and will lead and participate in committees and working groups to address issues of internationalization in higher education both within and outside Sask Polytech.

The AVP, International will head Sask Polytech’s International team and oversee international marketing and promotion; recruitment; admissions and retention; enrolment reporting; data analysis and retention; international student services; international programming; management of daily operations and administration; student mobility and study abroad; and international project development.

The AVP, International is required to travel internationally to advance strategy as well as all Sask Polytech campuses for meetings and administrative responsibilities, including travel provincially and nationally to represent Sask Polytech at meetings, committees or boards.
