This Capital and Housing Operations Director (CHO Director) position is a tremendous opportunity for a strategic leader who is passionate about creating the path to success towards Takla Nation’s future capital and housing operations. The CHO Director contributes to the overall success of the organization and aligns department objectives to Takla Nation’s vision, and strategic direction. The vision is to enhance the growth in housing and modernize existing infrastructure; sustain the livelihood of our community; and plan multi-year capital projects with the ultimate goal of building 100 houses by 2031. To be successful, there must be a healthy balance between managing the day-to-day facility demands and ensuring major projects are kept on schedule and within budget ($8 – 10M per fiscal year). The CHO Director deals with emergent daily needs serving our people, planning and caring for the aging infrastructure, and ensuring major capital projects run smoothly. The successful person will have extensive experience working in similar high-paced environments. As a key member of the senior management team, the CHO Director is a transformational leader that cares about the well being of staff and fosters a positive, learning culture. This requires a natural affiliation to mentor, coach and develop a high performing, goal orientated team. The CHO Director will build the team by identifying the departmental resources required, creating the organizational design and subsequently recruiting the talent needed to operationalize the capital and housing plan.
