The Vice President & Chief People Officer (CPO) plays a critical role in strategically leading the Human Resources (HR) and Employee Wellness portfolio. This includes overseeing the planning, directing, supervision, coaching, and coordination of a team of professionals and administrative support staff. Key areas of responsibility encompass labor relations, collective bargaining, administration and interpretation of collective agreements, employee relations, employee wellness, compensation, pension and benefits, and performance management.
The CPO works in close partnership with executive leadership to evaluate and meet the organizational needs, guaranteeing alignment with wider goals. This role is essential for not only driving and advancing Good Samaritan’s strategic initiatives but also for cultivating a positive and inclusive work environment while supporting our reconciliation efforts, which are fundamental to our organizational culture.
