Reporting to the Comptroller, the Director, Capital Financial Management and Reporting (“Director” or “DCF”) is accountable to the Comptroller for supporting the attainment of UBC’s mission by providing strategic financial leadership, vision and direction for the capital financial management cycle and reporting. Supporting the management teams in Infrastructure Development, the position will partner and share capital expertise in relation to financial analysis, business strategy, operational budgeting, auditing, and other key analytical information for the purpose of enhancing management reporting and decision making.

A significant component of this position is to support the planning, reporting and auditing of large (and small) scale capital projects with a current value of over $1 billion. Support includes effectively engaging diverse stakeholders with accurate information, including detailed analysis and summarized recommendations to ensure funding and expenditures align to the Board of Governors approved budgets and compliance with restrictions attached to the funding where required.
