Reporting to the Westlock County Council, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) plays an integral role in the strategic leadership and management of the overall administration of the county’s operations in accordance with the objectives, policies, and plans approved by Council. The CAO is responsible for ensuring that policies and programs of the County are implemented and advises and informs Council on the operation and affairs of the County. The CAO performs all the duties and exercises the powers and functions as legislated by Provincial statutes, local Bylaw and the Municipal Government Act (MGA) as well as other enactments, or as assigned by County Council.
