Leyad is seeking an experienced Indigenous Advisor (“Advisor”) will join Leyad’s Advisory Board made up of industry professionals to provide strategic guidance, relationship management and community-based support related to Leyad’s initiatives in real estate, housing development, land management, investment opportunities , partnerships, and long-term asset stewardship. The Advisor should bring an Inuit perspective and associated relationships to Leyad’s increased presence in Nunavut. They will help advance economic development, community prosperity, and sustainable growth aligned with Inuit values, priorities, and interests.
The successful candidate will possess significant lived experience working in the north, bringing deep community involvement and relationships across Nunavut. They will serve as a advisor to the Board and leadership team, managing community relationships, assessing risks, strengthening partnerships, and supporting the successful execution of Leyad’s initiatives.
This is a part-time role that requires the Advisor to participate in quarterly meetings, as well as being available for ad hoc discussions with the CEO as needed.
