Dr. Nokleby comes to UNBC from Ontario Tech University, where he spent more than two decades helping to build the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, joining in 2004 during the university's second year of operation.
As Director of the Mechatronic and Robotic Systems (MARS) Lab, Dr. Nokleby led research in mechatronics, robotics, automation and optimal design, applying advanced kinematics to the control of redundant manipulator systems.
He is a Fellow of both the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and a licensed Professional Engineer in British Columbia and Ontario.
He is returning to British Columbia after having completed an undergraduate, master's and doctoral degree in engineering at the University of Victoria.
