This is a senior management position responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, management and administration of the Utility Distribution Systems department, including electric and gas distribution and engineering. This position, acting under the guidance of the Managing Director – Energy, Land and Environment, utilizes leadership, managerial and technical expertise to achieve corporate directives. This position works under municipal ownership and will effectively balance the sound decision-making of a private business model with that of a City department functioning with the public’s best interest in mind. As a participant on the Leadership Team, this position works with internal departments to contribute to the corporate vision, values, culture, direction, policies, and decision-making.
